Hi there, so glad you stopped by! If you’re new around here, this is just a little bit about me. Let’s not stay strangers, though. Feel free to introduce yourself!
I grew up in the south and managed to avoid picking up the southern accent. I did leave with a love for shrimp and grits though.
I married a Brazilian in 2003, and we’ve been serving the local church since day one. (Well, we actually met leading a small group on our college campus, but that’s for another story.)
In 2008, Filipe and I joined some of our dearest college friends to plant South Bay Church in the San Francisco Bay Area. Filipe serves as executive pastor and I am currently a full-time mom to five crazy kids- Rafael, Felipe, Lily, Cailyn, and Efraim. We birthed three the naturally way, and our oldest two we brought into our home in 2014 from Brazil. It’s a crazy life, but it’s a full life.
I am passionate about seeing people follow hard after Jesus, pursuing His plan for their life, and living a life of integrity.
I share affection for C.S Lewis and Anne Lamott, TED talks and The Tonight Show (I’m convinced Jimmy Fallon is the goofy older brother I never had), and Grease and Harry Potter. I am especially fond of coffee, red wine, and the Mediterranean diet.
That’s enough about me. Tell me a little about you!
