Yesterday was Compassion Sunday at South Bay Church.

Pastor Andy talked about being Rooted in Love (out of Eph. 3), and afterward he and Filipe shared with the church about their experience in Ethiopia.  They also asked our church to get involved in the project by sponsoring a child (or 2) in our community their called Nazret.

After each service, I stood behind the Compassion table, and helped people find a child to sponsor.  I loved watching how the crowd responded, and the eagerness of people wanting to sponsor kids.  It was beautiful to watch.  When the 3rd service started only 6 packets were left, and within a minute of the end of that service, we started a waiting list for those still wanting a child to sponsor.

The lives of 67 children were radically changed yesterday, and that’s just the beginning.  I love our church!
