Efraim turned ONE on Tuesday!
I still can’t believe he is one, it seems like yesterday we brought him home from the hospital. I guess (most days) it feels like that with all of my kids, but I think the more you have, the faster time flies by.
Tuesday night we invited a few families from South Bay over for a little party for Efraim. We had a light dinner (daniel fast friendly) and then watched Efraim open a few gifts and do a cake smash. I think he enjoyed eating the cake, but not getting messy. He looked a little concerned that he had chocolate frosting all over him.
I made him a monkey cake to go along with his nursery theme. The cake is a banana cake with chocolate & vanilla buttercream frosting- probably one of my best cakes yet (something about not having to use an entire bottle of pink food coloring made the cake seem more appealing). Since we are still in the middle of our Daniel Fast, I had to smell the amazing cake without getting to taste some…yet. I made some banana cupcakes for the other kids, and with some left over I put them in the freezer so we can enjoy one in a couple days.
Here are some pictures from the night.
Happy 1st Birthday Efraim!!!
