Ever been in a group and someone asks the question,“What is your most embarrassing moment?”

That question always makes me nervous.  I hate embarrassing situations, and try to avoid them at all cost.  But, that question doesn’t make me nervous because I have something really embarrassing, but because I don’t and feel like I can never contribute to the conversation….until today!

Are you ready?!  Here goes:

So, there I was (alone- no kids with me) walking out of Trader Joes with my shopping cart full of groceries.  It was super windy and cold outside, so I was rushing to my car.  There was a speed bump in the road, and when I went to go over it, the wind blew really hard, and kept the cart from going over- except I was pushing it really hard because, like I said it was cold and windy. The wheel caught on the speed bump and both me and the shopping cart wiped out.  Picture a shopping cart laying on the ground on its side with a women lying on her side and cans of diced tomatoes rolling in the road.  Get the picture?!  That was me today.

If only it was on video.  Haha

Luckily a woman was walking toward me and came to my rescue.  She helped me put my groceries back in the bags, pick up the shopping cart, and push it over the speed bump successfully.  By the time I got to my car I was laughing and somewhat surprised it wasn’t as mortifying as I would have thought.  My ankle is all scraped up, but that was the least of my worries.  I was more worried about the carton of eggs and bottle of Pinot Noir.

Thankfully everything was still in tact.

What’s your most embarrassing moment?  Have you ever wiped out in front of a crowd?
