So, I’m putting a few posts on hold until next week because of CATALYST! Catalyst is one of my absolutely favorite leadership conferences. For me, it’s the one event that inspires, encourages, challenges, and motivates me to change (in good ways) all at the same time- and that’s pretty hard to do. Not only are there some exceptional speakers and leaders, but the Holy Spirit has a way of speaking clearly amidst all of the lights, music, and creative chaos that often comes with it.

I’m so excited and expectant of great things this week.

Not only am I excited about the conference, but I’m super excited that this year we have a team of 25 leaders from South Bay coming too. These are such great environments for teams, and I’m excited for all of us to experience it together this year.

You know you are old (and a nerd) when for your birthday you ask for a Catalyst Lab ticket above anything. Yep, that’s right. Next week is my birthday and I told Filipe that all I want is to go to Catalyst- and the labs. So, today Filipe is going to hang out with our kids while I head up to the labs today. I have a great husband!

Yesterday, we drove down here with all the kids. Lucky for us my grandparents live close by, so we stayed with them last night. My parents flew here too from South Carolina to babysit for us so we can go to the conference. I’m so grateful for them knowing my kids will be in good hands. Filipe and I will be going to meet the rest of the group at the hotel tonight and then come back to my grandparents Saturday morning.

So, here’s to a week of learning and soaking up some great wisdom and teaching, but most important, to hear from God.

How about you?

How do you like to learn? What do you do to continually develop yourself as a person?
