Wow. This week has been one huge overwhelming week. It’s one of those weeks when you find yourself drowning in responsibilities. Responsibilities that you should never have taken on in the first place.
Isn’t it overwhelming?
I’m one of those people who often has to learn the hard way.
I call it learning experientially.
Apparently, I need to know what if FEELS like to be over my head since I can’t logically come to the conclusion that I can’t run a home, parent my kids, make every meal from scratch, shoulder a couple ministry areas, counsel women, lead life groups, mobilize volunteers, oh and blog and write a manuscript ALL at the same time.
Yeah, apparently, I need to FEEL what it’s like to not be able to do it all.
It all came tumbling down on me this week and the weight of it is…overwhelming.
But I do learn. I get myself out from under it all. And I promise to never ever ever go there again.
So that’s where I am. Getting myself out of a mess that I put myself into.
OH and I’ve been…
- Potty training my two-year old.
- Making DIY Christmas gifts
- Reading Greater by Steven Furtick (great read by the way!)
- And prepping to celebrate Advent together as a family.
…just to name a few.
But in other news. The most exciting (and by far more important) headline this week was:
Now that’s gotta make your day a little brighter no matter how overwhelmed you are.
