This week is known as Holy Week. It was the culmination of why Jesus came down to Earth- to die for the sins of humanity, and through his resurrection, make us right with God. This week I am sharing different qualities of who Jesus is and their significance in my life.

#1. Jesus is…Lord

#2. Jesus is…Faithful.

Faithful: true to one’s word, promises, vows, etc.

I’ve been blessed with many friends over the course of my life. Some deep, some shallow, some fun, some serious. But in some way or another all of them have let me down at some point in my life- whether intentionally or by accident. Even my husband, whom I consider my very best friend on earth, has let me down a time or two.

I learned early on in my relationship with Jesus that even though friends will inevitably let me down, He never will. Faithfulness is part of who He is. Whenever I feel betrayed or let down, I try and remember that Jesus is the best friend I have.

  • He is stable.
  • He is committed.
  • He is dependable.
  • He is the best listener.
  • He gives the best advice.
  • He tells me the truth not just what I want to hear.

Do you feel betrayed? Has someone turned their back on you? There is someone who will never leave you, will never forsake you, and who loves you unconditionally. Jesus is just a prayer away. He is worthy of your faithfulness in return.

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” Deut. 31:6
