I’m going through a stripping process.
Stripping away the excess of my life.

It started with food.
Cutting out the excess, the unnecessary, the fillers.

Then I moved on to the extra stuff.
Like newspapers and netflix.

My life feels a little lighter.
My focus a little sharper.

Toys pile up. Clothes mound the closets.
Are they needed? Is it excess?

If they are, they could be unnecessary weight. I don’t want my life to be slowed down simply because I didn’t stop and strip away the excess weight.

What is the excess in your life?
Is it needed? Is it necessary?

Heb. 12:1 “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily hinders our progress. And let us run with endurance the race that God has set before us.”
